The Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India, is renowned for its breathtaking meadows brimming with endemic alpine flowers and diverse fauna. Situated at an altitude of 3,658 meters, this national park spans over 87.50 square kilometers and forms part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. From late June to early September, the valley transforms into a vibrant tapestry of colors, with over 500 species of wildflowers, including rare varieties like the Brahma Kamal and Blue Poppy. The valley is accessible via a picturesque trek from Govindghat to Ghangharia, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks and clear streams. Additionally, visitors often trek to the nearby Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh pilgrimage site. The Valley of Flowers is a paradise for nature enthusiasts and a testament to the region’s unique biodiversity, underscoring the importance of conservation efforts in preserving this natural wonder.

Best Time to Visit:

The best time to visit the Valley of Flowers is from mid-July to early September when the flowers are in full bloom.

Trekking Distance:

The trek to the Valley of Flowers from Ghangharia is approximately 3-7 km, depending on how much of the valley you wish to explore. The trek to Hemkund Sahib is an additional 7 km each way from Ghangharia.

Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station, Dehradun Airport, or drive directly from Delhi to Haridwar (220 km / 6 hrs). Meet and greet by our representative and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

In the evening, proceed to Hari-Ki-Pauri ghat to witness the aarti ceremony. Overnight stay at the hotel in Haridwar.

Early in the morning, drive to Govindghat for 2 hours. From here, start your trek to Ghangharia. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel/camp. Overnight stay at the hotel/camp in Ghangharia.

In the morning, start your trek to the Valley of Flowers. After visiting the Valley, return to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ghangharia.

In the morning, start your steep trek to Hemkund Sahib. After visiting Hemkund Sahib, return to Ghangharia. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ghangharia.

After breakfast, start your trek down to Govindghat, and from here drive to Rudraprayag. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Rudraprayag.

In the morning, drive from Rudraprayag to Rishikesh. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, proceed with a sightseeing tour of Rishikesh followed by the aarti ceremony at Parmarth Ashram. Overnight stay at the hotel in Rishikesh.

Transfer to the railway station or airport in time for your departure to the onward destination.
